The 200 Hour Teacher Training Program at Grace is a comprehensive and experiential program that provides aspiring teachers and inquisitive students with a solid framework to grow as a yoga teacher or to deepen an existing practice. We build on the foundations of traditional yogic philosophy and then integrate this foundational knowledge with modern yoga technique and skillful, creative teaching.

Michele Russ (E-RYT 200) & Suzanne Muro (E-RYT 200)

Michele Russ

Michele (E-YRT, 200) has expanded her role at Grace to include Studio Manager. With a background in graphic design and a lifelong interest in health and well being, Michele first came to yoga in the midst of moving all over the country as a military spouse while raising two boys. What attracted her most to yoga was the deep level of stillness and calm achieved through the physical practice. Yoga is about building a relationship between body, mind and the breath. Michele’s intention is to help students experience and deepen this relationship through challenging, yet nurturing classes so that they can step off the mat feeling renewed and balanced. When Michele isn’t teaching or managing the studio, you will likely find her studying — she will complete her Master’s degree in Health & Wellness Coaching in December 2018, so look for wellness workshops and other offerings coming soon! Michele completed her 200-hour training through Sky House and is honored to share the gift of yoga with Grace students and yoga teacher trainees.

Suzanne Muro

Suzanne is an experienced yoga instructor (E-RYT 200) and curious movement lover. She has been teaching vinyasa flow since she completed her 200 hour training in 2011 and teaches in Maryland and DC. Her love of yoga is also informed by her love of and passion for many other forms of movement; she has completed her Power Pilates Core Mat level 1 training, and she is a certified Level One Yoga Tune Up®️ teacher. In her many years of teaching yoga and movement, Suzanne strives to keep her teaching current and fresh by pursuing new knowledge of her own body and learning from other teachers in the areas of anatomy, private yoga and yoga incorporating strength and corrective movement with weights, resistance bands, balls and all kinds of props as feedback for the body. She is grateful to all of the teachers she has learned from and practiced with for opening the doors and layers of her teaching and her practice.
